The Royal Oak Market is a unique new community market which brings together artisan products, the work of local desingers and craftspeople plus talks on sustainble living and gardening practices.  We are always looking for new stallholders to ensure that the market continues to grow and provide a venue for the local community to get together, find out what's going on and have the chance to purchase some great local products.

The market will be held once a season, from 10am - 2pm.  The following are the confirmed dates for 2010:

Sunday 23 May

Sunday 22 August

Sunday 21 November

We are interested in receiving applications from local producers of food and artisan products, veges, value-added products, art, craft and design.

If you are interested in being a stallholder or would like receive information about future markets, click here to send an email to either Susan or Linda - the market co-ordinators.

THE ROYAL OAK MARKET

Royal Oak Market Sunday 21 February – 10.00am – 2.00pm

Artisan food, organic produce, contemporary art, fashion and design. The Royal Oak Market brings them all together along with community stalls music and free talks about gardening, eating green and living sustainably.

Come for a quick visit or stay the day, listen to music, sit on the grass and enjoy a variety of prepared foods including langos, Japanese pancakes, calzoni and suppli, gourmet sausages, and french pastries. Or make your own picnic with a choice of smoked fish, salami, cheese, bread, olive oil, and fresh salad greens from the garden.

We have a great selection of art and design stalls - perfect gift ideas or treats for yourself - beautiful ceramics, contemporary jewellery, funky women’s clothing, t-shirts, baby clothes and accessories, toys, work from local artists, herbal balms and creams and so much more...and it’s all hand made by local artists, designers and craftspeople.

Take the opportunity to ask all those questions you have about growing your own organic fruit and vegetables when our gardener takes you on a tour of our accessible organic garden at 10.30am and 11.30am. Find out how to green your diet from Alice Leonard at 11.00. At midday discover the secrets of making your own beer and wine from Derek Craig.  Best of all these talks are free.

This unique community market is hosted by CCS Disability Action, a not-for-profit organisation which supports people with disabilities.  The market is a practical and enjoyable way for CCS Disability Action to demonstrate our commitment to building inclusive communities.

The Royal Oak Market will be held on Sunday 21 February at 14 Erson Avenue, Royal Oak, Auckland.
